Vasilis Mavros announced today his independent candidacy for the Mayor’s office of Famagusta.
As stated in his written statement, after several years in the UK and now based in Cyprus, as the Mayor of Famagusta he intends to work to inspire Famagustians wherever they are, to unite their forces and actively claim the return to the city.
The decision to run for the Mayor’s office in Famagusta was made after the relevant encouragement from the committee of the UK Famagusta Association, he stated.
