Search and rescue teams on Monday morning began fresh efforts to find a 66-year-old British diver that went missing on Thursday off the coast of Larnaca.
The experienced diver who was also an instructor was under water near the Zenobia shipwreck as part of a group but did not resurface alongside their buddy. No one could tell why.
The “Nearchos” search and rescue plan was promptly activated by the Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Centre but had to be suspended after the sun went down.
The new efforts began at around 8am, according to CyBC radio.
