Construction of a US-built floating pier designed to facilitate humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza is expected to be completed within days, sources told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).
The pier will assist in unloading aid from ships arriving in Gaza from Cyprus.
The US Central Military Command recently stated the temporary structure will allow large quantities of aid to be transferred directly from ships to trucks for distribution on land.
The Cyprus-Gaza sea route is seen as crucial for delivering international humanitarian assistance, the US Central Military Command noted.
