Police arrest fifth suspect in Larnaca narcotics case

In another arrest yesterday evening, the Police proceeded with investigations regarding the large quantity of narcotics discovered and seized on April 6th in Larnaca.

The individual arrested is a 20-year-old resident of Larnaca, whose arrest brings the total number of arrests to five.

The young man was arrested around 8:30 pm yesterday, based on a judicial warrant issued against him following obtained testimony.

Subsequently, he was detained to facilitate further investigations.

It is recalled that for the same case, four other individuals aged 54, 25, 19, and 33 have been arrested and are currently in custody.

The investigation into the case began on the evening of April 6th when police officers found a small quantity of cannabis during a search of the 19-year-old’s car.

According to the Police, a search was conducted at the residence of the 19-year-old, where, in the presence of both him and the 54-year-old, a quantity of cocaine weighing two kilograms and 623 grams and a quantity of cannabis weighing two kilograms and 733 grams were discovered and seized.

The Larnaca Provincial Division continues its investigations.
