Yesterday, the Police proceeded with the arrest of a 31-year-old resident of Nicosia, to facilitate investigations regarding a suspected case of vehicle arson, which occurred in Nicosia in the early hours of February 27, 2024.
The fire in the car, owned by a 40-year-old, broke out around 4:30 a.m. on February 26. Police and Fire Service personnel attended the scene and extinguished the fire, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
Following examinations, it was determined that the fire was deliberately caused using flammable material. As part of the police investigations, evidence emerged against the 31-year-old. A judicial arrest warrant was issued against him, leading to his arrest and detention to facilitate investigations.
