Man, 36, dies in Limassol olive mill accident

Petros Papadopoulos, 36, died in an accident on Friday while working at his family’s olive mill in Limassol.

Papadopoulos, from Strovolos, was repairing a vehicle used for olive harvesting around 5 p.m. on Friday when, under circumstances being investigated, part of it dislodged and struck him.

He was transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where the attending physician certified his death.

Avdimou Police and the Labour Inspection Department are investigating the case.
