Larnaca District Court on Thursday referred to trial the chairman of a second division football club in Cyprus as well as a referee in connection with fixing a game earlier this month.
The trial for Ayia Napa club chairman Demetris Masias, 39, and Andreas Constantinou, 33, who has since been banned from officiating any other football games is set for March 17.
The two were detained on suspicion of rigging the second division fixture between Othellos and Ayia Napa that took place on February 8.
After a legal battle between defence lawyers and the prosecution, the Court decided to release the two under certain conditions.
The prosecution wanted the two be in remand until the start of their trial.
