Relevant News

“Three times there was telephone communication with the Archbishop, who spoke both with Metropolitan Tamassos and the monks of the Monastery of St. Habakkuk, who asked for forgiveness from the Archbishop and from God”.

This is the testimony of the former Chief of Police of Cyprus, Kypros Michaelides, which he gave in statements to ANT1.

As Michaelides explained, he submitted this testimony, along with everything he experienced that night at the Metropolitan of Tamassos, before the investigative authority of the Holy Synod and has no problem submitting it to the Police when called upon.

Michaelides mentioned that it is an honour for him to be the throne commissioner in a metropolitan region and that he advises the Metropolitan on managing financial matters.

Regarding what happened that night at the Bishopric, he said that those present helped in investigating the case. However, he clarified that he did not know what was happening previously at the Monastery.
