Cyprus has been enveloped in a wintry embrace as heavy rainfall and snow have transformed various parts of the island into picturesque landscapes, particularly in the mountains.
A video capturing the beauty of Troodos, shared by the “Weather Enthusiasts of Cyprus” Facebook page, showcases the snow cover that has delighted locals and visitors alike.
Despite the severe weather conditions, authorities have reported no significant disruptions across the provinces, and the Fire Service has not been required to intervene. However, with an orange weather warning still in place, emergency services remain on high alert.
The Police have issued a travel advisory, noting that roads leading to the Troodos area, including Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos, and Prodromos-Troodos, have been temporarily closed to traffic due to snowfall.
