The Intensive Care Unit of Makarios Hospital transferred two out of the three children found unconscious on a boat with dozens of migrants floating off Cape Greco.

The three children, along with an adult, had been transported unconscious by helicopters to the Hospitals of Ammochostos and Larnaca.

After assessing their health condition, it was deemed necessary to transfer the two children to Makarios Hospital, with their health condition being characterized as serious.

At the moment, according to information from philenews, a total of 9 migrants, 5 minors, and 4 adults are being treated in three hospitals.

Apart from the two children at Makarios, 4 adults and 1 child are being treated at Larnaca Hospital, while 2 other children are under care in the pediatric wing of Ammochostos Hospital.

The remaining migrants are at the Ayia Napa marina and are expected to be transferred to the Pournara Reception Center once they regain their strength.

According to information from police, the boat located in the early hours off Cape Greco had 62 individuals of Syrian origin on board, who had set out from Lebanon for the shores of Cyprus on January 18.

The boat was located early Wednesday, and a massive rescue operation was undertaken by the Joint Rescue Coordination Center to save the people onboard.
