The Tourist Development and Promotion Company of Paphos Region (ETAP) welcomed Ryanair’s decision to resume regular flights to and from Tel Aviv for the summer of 2024.
As stated in an announcement by Ryanair, flights to and from Tel Aviv will resume on June 3, 2024, initially with four incoming flights weekly to Paphos International Airport, due in part to the reopening of Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.
ETAP notes that there is now a prospect of mitigating losses from the Israeli market, and depending on the demand generated, flight schedules may be further reinforced.
In 2023, Ryanair operated up to 17 incoming flights per week to Paphos, while losses for the first half of 2024 are estimated at around 100,000 visitors for Cyprus.
