Workers at the terminals of Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol and DP World Limassol at the Port of Limassol and at the Port of Larnaca have proceeded with a one-hour warning work stoppage today.
In a joint statement by their trade unions, it is noted that the work stoppage took place after three warning to their employers regarding their negative stance to the requests of the employees for the renewal of the Collective Agreement that ended 31/12/2020.
It is also noted that more than 10 meetings have already taken place at the Labor relations Department of the Labor Ministry without any result.
At the same time the trade unions warned that the measures will escalate if there are no positive developments leading to the renewal of the Collective Agreement, noting that in that case the employers will be responsible.
