Nicosia’s high-rise buildings

Coastal Limassol may be the leader in skyscrapers but Nicosia – the capital – is catching up with a number of high-rises shyly making their appearance.  High rises in Nicosia are used for both residential and commercial purposes, according to a survey by INSIDER.

The capital’s highest building, currently under construction by Cyfield, is called “360”. It is 127 metres high and is located in the heart of Nicosia, on Makarios Avenue.

The second highest is the 22-storey and 78-metres high Central Park, located on Evagorou Street in central Nicosia. Its doors opened at the end of 2018, hosting temporary as well as permanent visitors.

The Jean Nouvel building which houses Ernst & Young offices on Stasinou Avenue is 63 metres high, and with a total of 17 floors.

Then come the headquarters of the Wargaming group, one of the leaders in the free-to-play MMO market. The 12-storey building is 63 metres high and is located on Demosthenis Severis avenue.

The Leventis Gallery on Leonidou Street with 16 floors and a height of 60 metres houses hundreds of works of art by Cypriot, Greek and European artists.

Eurobank’s headquarters, under construction on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, will be 59 metres high and with a total of 15 floors. In addition,  a new permit application is pending for a multi-storey building with a total height of 66 metres and 17 floors to be erected right next to it.

The Deloitte building, also on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, is 40 metres high with 11 floors, while a permit application for an additional four floors to be constructed is pending.
