Health authorities on Friday announced 10,879 new coronavirus infections all across Cyprus within this past week with the positivity rate rising to 11.62%. The new cases were found from 93,607 tests.
Three deaths attributed to the virus were also announced with the toll now reaching 1,075.
The previous week, that is from June 17-24, the number of cases recorded were
7,263 and the positivity rate stood at 9.77%.
This week’s Covid-attributed deaths concern two men, aged 75 and 87, and an 84-year-old woman.
Moreover, 75 Covid-19 patients are currently receiving treatment at state hospitals, four of whom in serious condition.
In addition, one is intubated in ICU and three in a high dependency unit. Two patients who are no longer testing positive continue to be treated in the ICU.
