Exhibit8 gallery in Limassol presents the solo art exhibition of Tess Turner, titled “Blossoms in Sunlight: A Floral Symphony” running from March 21st to April 6th, 2024.
Tess Turner, a talented plein-air and Impressionist, draws inspiration from the interplay of light and shadow on her subjects. Her artwork beautifully captures the mosaic of colors and shapes defining the villages of Cyprus, evoking ever-changing moods and emotions. Turner’s work invites interpretation, drawing viewers into a world of vibrant color and intricate shapes, both familiar and yet somehow otherworldly.
The opening event for “Blossoms in Sunlight: A Floral Symphony” will be held by Demos Katsis, lawyer and independent deputy mayor candidate, on Thursday 21st of March at 19. 30.
Born and raised on the island of Cyprus, Turner’s travels across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East have profoundly influenced her artistic vision. Her experiences, coupled with her island’s rich history and natural beauty, fuel her passion for capturing fleeting moments of beauty on canvas. Recognized for her talent and skill, Turner’s artistic journey has been guided by renowned artist Stefan Bauman. Since opening her studio in 2007, Turner’s work has been showcased in fine art exhibitions and galleries across Cyprus, Italy, and the USA, αnd it has been included in the State Gallery of Contemporary Cypriot Art.
“My paintings are full of passion and mood, inviting the viewer to experience contemporary landscape expressionism,” says Turner. Utilizing a precise color palette, Turner’s works reflect her dedication to conveying a message through art. Working primarily in oil with a brush and palette knife, she continuously pushes her artistic boundaries through experimentation and guided practice.
