Thkio Ppalies presents ήταν ωραία, a solo exhibition by Elena Savvidou. Through diverse experiments with materiality, particularly attending to clay and its propensity to break, mutate, and capture memory and affect, Savvidou constructs a volcanic landscape inhabited by relics of the present and creatures yet unknown.
Merging sculpture, sound, light, and movement, the exhibition attempts an archaeology of the future through a multisensory or synesthetic environment that is dreamy but desolate, dead yet somehow still breathing; an impression of digital experience and a portal to a world without time.
