If you’re in the hunt for a new and exciting dining experience full of culinary surprises and with a little extra spice, look no more.
Tucked away in the beautiful Village Square of Paphos’ Aphrodite Hills resort, ‘Gate to India’ is here to serve innovative Indian cuisine in an elegant and stylish setting that will definitely have you coming back for more.
With an aim to ensure the highest level of freshness while at the same time supporting the local market, the restaurant’s menu boasts dishes for those of you looking for a fusion taste as well as those who want to indulge in more authentic Indian cuisine.
Honouring an array of different cooking traditions and interpreting them with a unique creative vision, the menu carries a variety of meat, fish and vegetable dishes to accommodate all tastes.
Embark on your culinary journey with an exciting and tingly starter, like the Vegetable Samosa (a homemade pastry filled with spicy potato and garden peas spiked with cumin and served with Tamarind chutney), or opt for a more subtle bite with the Atherina Konkani (whitebait marinated with traditional spices and crisply fried in rice flour and semolina accompanied with a garlic and saffron aioli).
Dine in true Indian fashion with Naan bread filled with your choice of filling, be it onion and garlic, chilli and coriander, cheese, spiced minced lamb, or even fruit and nuts.
For a main move on to a steaming Chemmeen Moilee Curry, black Tiger prawns simmered with ginger, fenugreek, garlic, tomatoes, green chillies and coconut cream, or for a less intense but equally satisfying flavour opt for the Policha Meen, whole sea bream marinated in green and black peppercorns, mustard, garlic, coriander wrapped and grilled in vine leaves.
To sooth a fiery palate try one of the menus most refreshing desserts, the sago and coconut pudding served with passion fruit. Or, if you have a soft spot for all things rose, opt for the Gulabi Phirni, a rich rose pudding garnished with pistachios, which is traditionally served at Indian weddings.

Gate to India is open on a rotation basis and according to seasonal demand.
