Caffè Nero is one of our favorite cafés. We love it not just for its great coffee, but also for its sophisticated and elegant ambience. We were definitely excited with the opening of Nero’s second branch in Nicosia, at the former Blinkers location in Egkomi. Classical elements and urban features are fused successfully,making Caffè Nero a great place to relax. Hardwood floor, Persian rugs, and comfortable lazy chairs, all add to the warm and cozy environment.In the winter, you can make yourself comfortable on a sofa next to the fireplace. On sunny days, you can park yourself on the patio. You will also find an impressive collection of over a thousand books, which you can browse while enjoying your drink. You can enjoy authentic Italian coffee made by trained baristas. You have a wide range of choices in hot meals and healthy options, always prepared fresh daily. We took notice of the aroma in olive and cheese pies. We were intrigued by the panini sandwiches with prosciutto and gruyere, and tostada sandwiches with grilled chicken and olivepurée. And let’s not forget those wraps with grilled halloumi cheese. For the health conscious, there is a “corner” of healthy food where you can enjoy a chicken tabouli wrap or a grilled chicken tortilla, tabouli and spinach, and a lot more. And with coffee, of course, you must have something sweet. Items on the menu include lemon tart, apricot croissant, and white chocolate berry cookie.
