A charming traditional cafe has sprung up in the Medieval Castle area in Limassol called Kafenio Maritsa. The cafe offers a range of herbs (with healing properties) which you can use to make your own aromatic tea. They also serve traditional Cypriot coffee with lizo, a Cypriot dessert. Other desserts on offer include homemade Cypriot delicacies such as katimeri, mahalepi, mastic cream, tertzielouthkia and spoon sweets. Also, they serve halloumi and olive pies. In the evenings they serve Cypriot wine, zivania, Commandaria, ouzo and other drinks with nibbles. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm.
