Police on Wednesday said the remains found in Koloni area a few days ago belong to 79-year-old Ann Naisbitt, from the UK, who was reported missing from her Paphos home early in April.
Police said she had health issues and was reported missing once again a year ago but located in the area a couple of days later.
Police, in coordination with the civil defence, found the bones in the area which is near Yeroskipou on Monday, near the location where a farmer had found a skull the day before.
In addition to the skull and bones, the coastal district’s police on Monday also collected clothing and a silver necklace with a heart pendant from the site they were found.
The owner of a livestock unit in the area found the human skull outside his premises at about 10am on Sunday.
Police had cross-checked their records of missing persons over the past ten years to help identify the remains.
