With the new academic year just around the corner, prices for university student apartments in Nicosia and Limassol are again on the rise, Philenews reports.
These range between €400 to €800 monthly – according to how close they are to university campuses, as well as on their size.
Insiders said many parents pay their entire monthly salary for their children’s accommodation and living expenses.
This is because a student pays €500 rent on an average, and along with the estimated remaining expenses the cost exceeds €1,000 per month.
Parents told Philenews more affordable student accommodation should be on offer.
