Paphos police have arrested a 27 year old woman after obtaining forensic evidence which allegedly links her to a robberry committed in December 2010, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
It said that the woman, who is a Russian national, is under arrest in connection with the robbery of a betting shop in Chlorakas in 2010 when two people wearing hoods and with their faces covered with scarfs had threatened the employee with a gun and taken €815.
Clients who were at the betting shop at the time were immbolised. Before fleeing, one of the rwo robbers took the employee’s mobile telephone and threw it on the floor, breaking it.
The phone was taken into evidence from which there appears to be scientific evidence allegedly linked to the woman under arrest.
The 27 year old is also allegedly involved in the theft of about €10,000 in cash and €40,000 in cheques from a car parked outside a clinic in Paphos in January 2018 with forensic evidence allegedly linking her to that offence too.
Police investigations continue.
