One has to wait up to September or October to get a standard Driving License in Cyprus now that the system issuing a theory and practical test appointment date is out of operation.
This is what Philenews reported on Thursday, adding that the system is out of operation because it needed to be upgraded. And this because some ‘clever’ instructors were exploiting it.
Specifically, some would book multiple dates for their students – existing or non-existent – so that they could change names and determine themselves when they wished to examine an applicant.
At the same time, those instructors who followed rules and regulations were left in limbo with their students waiting for months to get an appointment date.
The queue of applicants today is quite long because high school students have recently graduated and are more than keen to get their driving license.
