Health experts have suggested that almost all pandemic restrictions including mask-wearing indoors and Covid certificates in most cases be lifted gradually but not before May 15, Philenews reports citing insiders.
The suggestions will be put before the Cabinet for approval on Wednesday with the possibility of the implementation date changing not ruled out, one also said.
The Health Minister and group of scientists advising the government on the coronavirus pandemic who held a meeting on Tuesday agreed that by early June all restrictions should be abolished.
But gradually, starting from mid-May and based on decisions taken on a weekly basis after careful examination of the epidemiological state of play.
Meanwhile, in a new development the Health Ministry has announced that the Vaccination Portal will be open to all persons belonging to the categories in which a fourth vaccine dose is provided inviting them to proceed with setting an appointment.
“As of Wednesday, the booster fourth dose is provided to all health professionals – irrespective of age,” it said.
