The Drug Enforcement Service at Larnaca Airport handcuffed a 21-year-old woman after a large quantity of marijuana was found in her luggage.
The woman arrived at the airport on Monday morning (22/4). After a baggage check by the Customs Department, 26 packages containing approximately 16 kilograms of cannabis were discovered.
The suspect was arrested and will be interrogated by members of the Larnaca Drug Enforcement Service in an effort to identify the recipients of the narcotics. She is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court tomorrow for the issuance of a detention order.
