Road access to the Troodos mountains is now being controlled by police due to heavy traffic, as drivers must be cautious and patient, following instructions to a problem-free passage.
Authorities have issued a relevant statement, informing people on their way up or in the area to be aware of road signs, police patrols and designated spaces on the access roads, for their own safety.
Traffic is being facilitated through the Prodromos-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos and Platres-Troodos roads.
Once again, much patience is needed for everyone to enjoy the day. Light showers were expected on Troodos late afternoon.
