The police proceeded with the arrest of an individual yesterday, based on a judicial warrant, as part of the investigation into the incidents that occurred last Saturday in the area of ​​Ypsonas.
According to the police, it concerns a 21-year-old from Limassol, who has been placed under arrest to facilitate the investigations.
It is reminded that shortly after 10 o’clock on Easter Saturday night, the Limassol Police Department received calls from citizens reporting that on the Ypsonas – Erimis road, there were groups of young people throwing stones, Molotov cocktails, and firecrackers at passing vehicles.
The Limassol Police Department, through its spokesperson, Lefteris Kyriakou, referred to an organized attack against the members of the Force. An investigative team has been formed for the case, while examinations are being conducted through closed-circuit surveillance systems to locate the perpetrators.
