The fire that broke out in a vehicle belonging to a 32-year-old from Limassol yesterday evening is attributed to arson.
According to the Police, the fire erupted at 20:45 in a car owned by a 32-year-old. The vehicle was parked in an open area outside the 4th Police Station.
The car was engulfed in flames and was completely destroyed by the fire. On-site examinations revealed that the fire was intentionally set using flammable material.
According to the Police, the vehicle was parked 200 meters away from the “Nikos Solomonidis” indoor stadium where the basketball match between Payabl. EKA AEL and Pristina was taking place for the Balkan League final.
At present, according to the Police, it has not been clarified whether the incident is related to fan disputes or personal disagreements.
