The President of Estonia, Alar Karis, was received today by the President of the House, Annita Demetriou, as part of the official visit Karis is making to Cyprus.
The President of Estonia arrived at the House of Representatives building shortly after noon, where, after signing the visitors’ book, he had a meeting with the President of the House.
Welcoming Karis, Demetriou stated that there are several open issues in Cyprus and many more that could be achieved.
She further noted that there is a broad range of political common interests between Estonia and Cyprus and expressed the desire for this meeting to mark the beginning of productive cooperation.
For his part, Karis thanked the President of the House for the hospitality and assured that their contacts will continue.
