Cyprus Anticancer Society and YGEIA Polyclinic sign memorandum of cooperation

In a particularly pleasant atmosphere, a meeting was held yesterday, January 31, 2024, between representatives of the Cyprus Anticancer Society and the YGEIA Polyclinic, at the offices of the Polyclinic’s Administration, to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two entities.

Attending the meeting from the side of the Cyprus Anticancer Society were the Executive Director of the Society, Ms. Maria Ioannidou, the President of the Limassol District Committee, Ms. Betty Antoniadou, the Vice President of the Limassol District Committee, Mr. Chrysostomos Chrysostomou, and the Society’s Doctor in Limassol, Dr. Claudia Petrou.

Representing the YGEIA Polyclinic at the meeting were Mr. Panos Petrou, Director of Diagnostic Departments (Matron), Ms. Morfou Tsaknaki, and Ms. Marianna Fortoma, Director of Business Development and Marketing.

As of January 1, 2024, the YGEIA Polyclinic has been providing comprehensive oncology services, including day treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, etc.), as well as oncological surgeries.

Additionally, operating 24/7, 365 days a year, both the Emergency Department and the state-of-the-art diagnostic departments of the YGEIA Polyclinic, in combination with experienced medical, paramedical, and nursing staff, are able to guarantee the provision of high-quality health services, timely and accurate diagnosis, as well as compassionate care.

Both Ms. Maria Ioannidou and the representatives of the YGEIA Polyclinic expressed their confidence that this collaboration will significantly contribute to supporting oncology patients, disseminating information, raising awareness about the importance of prevention, psychological and other support for the close environment of patients, as well as promoting research and innovation for the benefit of the patient.
