Closure of schools, universities extended to April 30

Relevant News

The Education Ministry has announced that classes at all schools and universities in Cyprus will continue to be suspended until April 30 as part of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The announcement follows yesterday’s decision by the Council of Ministers to extend the lockdown until the end of April.

The ministry said that the decision applies to all private and public schools, kindergartens and special schools.

The suspension of other educational programmes offered by the ministry in the afternoons and evening will also be extended to the end of the month.

Moreover, there will be no classes or other activities that require the physical presence of students at all higher education institutions, private and public until April 30.
