Police in Nicosia were on high alert on Tuesday afternoon following a shooting in the Anthoupoli area.
According to initial reports, shots were fired, injuring one man. The injured man was taken to the Nicosia General Hospital.
Police officers are at the scene and have cordoned off the area.
