All roads to Troodos are open, conditions are mostly sunny and thousands are once again flocking to the mountains for a Sunday out in the snow. Traffic coordination will prevent long queues and police have taken all the necessary measures, so everyone can enjoy a safe day, without too much road trouble.
Patrols from Traffic Department heaquarters in Nicosia and the Limassol Police District are in place across all critical junctions leading to Troodos and roads around the area. All necessary arrangements have been taken to facilitate traffic and provide instructions. More than 15 officers will be on patrol in the wider Troodos area.
Most of the traffic is expected from noon onwards (Sunday), with authorities calling on drivers to follow all regulations, officers instructions and exercise the utmost caution.
