The Paphos AKEL District Committee has announced its support for the independent candidacy of Evros Loizides for the Mayor of Paphos Municipality.
In a statement released by the committee, they expressed confidence in Loizides’ knowledge and experience, deeming him fit for the position of Mayor.
“Evros Loizides is an example of an active citizen with a substantial contribution to the affairs of our city. He has served for years as a municipal councillor of Paphos, president of the Municipal Youth Council, and president of the Sports and Culture Committee of the Municipality of Paphos. He worked for several years as an electrical engineer, and in 2010 he founded his own company,” the district committee of the left-wing party said.
They also highlighted his vision for genuine progress and development in the city. “A vision that we share, for a truly democratic, humane, socially sensitive, green, and clean Paphos, away from petty political interests that serve the few and the privileged,” they said.
