Petrol sales rise in February

In February 2024, the total sales of petroleum products reached 115,421 tonnes, marking an increase of 7.1% compared to February 2023.

There was an increase in the supply of oil to ships (48.2%) and to aeroplanes (8.7%), as well as in the sales of asphalt (62.9%), heavy and light fuel oil (46.1% and 15.2% respectively), petrol (9.5%), and motor oil (9.3%). On the other hand, a decrease was recorded in the sales of kerosene (-34.5%), heating oil (-24.0%), and liquefied petroleum gas (-12.6%). Specifically regarding sales from petroleum stations, they increased by 4.2% to 55,909 tonnes.

The total sales of petroleum products in February 2024 compared to January 2024 increased by 5.2%.

Specifically, the sales of motor oil (3.8%) and petrol (1.6%) increased, while the supply of oil to aeroplanes decreased (-4.9%). The total petroleum product inventories at the end of February 2024 decreased by 13.4% compared to the end of the previous month.
