Defence Ministers of Cyprus and Egypt, Savvas Angelides and Mohamed Zak, have expressed the two countries` will to upgrade their defence cooperation, that is linked with the joint effort of promoting peace, stability and growth in the broader region, according to a press release.
The press release, distributed by PIO, said that Angelides` official visit to Cairo wrapped up successfully. During his visit, Angelides had a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, which was followed by extended talks with the participation of delegations of the two ministries.
As it is noted, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to further enhance them, as well as about regional security and cooperation, energy security and other issues of common interests.
Angelides also visited the Unknown Soldier Memorial where he laid a wreath.
