Woman arrested for biting officer in Larnaca restaurant

Police arrested a 50 year old woman who allegedly bit an immigration officer in a restaurant in Larnaca on Tuesday night.

The incident happened while migration department officers were conducting checks on the documents of employees in a restaurant on Athinon avenue.

During the checks, the woman, who is residing legally in Cyprus bit the hand of officer.

According to reports she was drunk.

The officer was transferred to Larnaca General Hospital and was discharged later on the same day, after receiving first aid.

The woman was arrested and will be led to court on Wednesday.
