Cypriot gastronomy shines at ‘Athinorama Golden Chef Hats Cyprus 2023’ Awards

The ever-improving culinary scene in Cyprus was celebrated at the “Athinorama Golden Chef Hat Cyprus 2023” gastronomy awards, organised by Athinorama and Phileleftheros.

The glamorous awards ceremony honouring the best restaurants in Cyprus took place on Wednesday, November 22nd, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol. The event was attended by dignitaries from the realms of politics, arts, literature, business, media, and, of course, the honoured chefs themselves.

The highlight of the evening, as is the tradition, was a high gastronomy dinner prepared by Sotiris Evangelou, the most influential chef in contemporary Greek cuisine.

This year’s awards ceremony saw 32 accolades presented to 31 restaurants, compared to 24 in 2022. Notably, there were five Golden Chef Hats awarded this year, one more than the previous year. These prestigious awards represent the culmination of work carried out by the renowned Golden Chef Hats tasting committee.
