Rain and thunderstorms continue today across the island with the yellow warning issued yesterday by the Met Office remaining effective until 5pm today.
The Met Office said that rain, at times, and isolated thunderstorms, are expected to affect the area. The total rain accumulation is locally likely to exceed 50 millimetres in a six hour period.
An extensive low pressure system centered on Albania is moving south-east and is expected to affect Cyprus until Sunday.
Temperatures this afternoon will reach 16 C inland, 7 C in the mountains and 18 C in the coastal areas, dropping tonight to 9 C inland, 3 C in the mountains and 14 C in the coastal areas.
Snow or sleet may fall in Troodos at heights of around 1,500m.
On Sunday more rain and thunderstorms are expected.
Clearer skies are predicted for Monday and Tuesday which will be mainly fine.
