‘Wall of Kindness’ at Yeroskipou primary school

“Leave it if you have plenty, take it if you need it” is the motto written on the “Wall of Kindness” set up at the entrance of the B’ Yeroskipou Primary School.

The wall is an initiative of teachers and pupils at the school and supported by the school’s parents’ association, the Yeroskipou Education Office and the Yeroskipou Municipality.

The project’s creators encourage the public to place on the hangers installed on the wall clean clothes and shoes, long-lasting foods, personal hygiene products and cleaning products (each in a separate bag) for anyone who needs them to collect.

The ‘Wall of Kindness’ aims to raise awareness among pupils and the general public on the values of love, giving, volunteerism, solidarity, respect and empathy while promoting the re-use of materials for the sake of the environment and sustainability.

The wall is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.
