Eat & Drink Nicosia Vini Platea Wine Bar

Vini Platea Wine Bar

This is exactly what the name means in Latin, Vini Platea is the new wine bar in the capital. In this lean and elegant space, which brings to mind French bars and the music of Pink Martini, Edith Piaf and Louis Armstrong, wine takes centre stage. There is a good variety of wines, both from old world labels (Greek and Cypriot) as well as New World. You can enjoy wine by the glass, choosing among 5 white, 2 rosé, 5 reds and a bubbly semi-sweet. You will pair your wine with cold dishes like duck pâté or pork pâté with tomato and basil. The hot pick is provolone cheese with wine and thyme, served hot next to a platter with cheese and cold cuts. It is worth noting that Vini Platea hosts frequent wine tastings and you can get all this information on Facebook. Open Wedneday-
