An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was recorded 40 km south of Zygi at 14.09 on Monday, the Cyprus Geological Survey Department said.
The quake was felt in various parts of Cyprus, particularly in Limassol and to a lesser extent in Nicosia.
The epicentre was 40 km in the sea south of Zygi at a depth of 5 km.
