Police have found a Kalashnikov which a man used in an attempted murder, early this morning in an Agia Napa restaurant, police spokesman Andreas Constantinou said, adding that the businessman, from Famagusta district, who was the target of the attack had left the premises about 20 minutes before the attack.
Twenty-five shots were fired at the restaurant by the loner shooter, who walked away from the scene of the crime towards the underground parking of the Thalassa museum, where he threw away the gun he used in the attack.
Police are expected to question several people in connection with the attack.
A 26 year old woman from Greece and three Greek Cypriots, two of them aged 38 and the third 32, were injured. The woman is undergoing surgery at Nicosia General hospital. All are in a serious condition but none of them is in danger.
All information indicates that none of the people injured had anything to do with the target of the attack.
At the time of the attack, a lot of people who were at the restaurant panicked.
