UN official Jane Holl Lute is expected to be meet President Nicos Anastasiades on July 23.
Jane Holl Lute, as a personal envoy of the UN Secretary General, will come to Cyprus to hold consultations with the leaders of the two communities regarding the outcome of their reflections in relation to the stalled peace talks.
Government sources told CNA that Lute will visit the area during the last week of July.
She is expected to arrive in Cyprus on July 21 or 22 and her meeting with the president is expected to take place on Monday, July 23.
The Republic of Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkey invaded and occupied its northern third. A UN-backed Conference on Cyprus last summer in the Swiss resort of Crans Montana, aiming to reunify the island under a federal roof, ended inconclusively.
