Two turtles found dead on Limassol beach

Lifeguards in Limassol found two dead turtles over the weekend.

According to philenews, the first turtle was spotted on Saturday morning on the Limassol Nautical Club beach.

The lifeguards said that the animals died after ingesting plastic.

Asked to comment, the Fisheries Department said that it is investigating the case.

It said that its inspectors will examine the turtles to determine the cause of death.
