Two Greek Cypriots detained by Turkish troops in Strovilia

Two Greek Cypriot men from Sotira were detained by Turkish occupation troops on Saturday evening, Philenews had reported.

It said  a 47 year old and his 25 year old son had crossed into the buffer zone at around 7 pm to visit their family home in Strovilia.

The wife of the 47 year old said the son had telephoned a little later and told her that they had been detained by Turkish troops and would appear before a ‘court’ in Turkish occupied Famagusta on Monday.

Police, the government and UNFICYP have been informed.
