Jazz at Londa

The 2020 series of Jazz starts at Londa Hotel featuring virtuoso Russian bass player Anton Gorbunov, Leonid Nesterov on piano and unique drummer Mikhail Galutva. Having enticed full houses throughout last year, the renowned Londa Jazz series and the contemporary ambience of Londa’s chic boutique styling, continue to attract audiences both local and international.

Anton Gorbunov was born on November 29, 1969 in Kurgan, Russia. He studied clarinet at the local music school and in 1994 he graduated from the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatoire in Yekaterinburg.

Anton also played bass guitar with local jazz bands, including the famous art and fusion band Doctor Faust which featured leading Yekaterinburg musicians and teachers. In 1995 he moved to Moscow following an invitation to join the band of alternative pop singer Linda.

From 1996 to 2001 Anton collaborated with musicians and bands of diverse music styles. At the same time he composed the material for his first solo album. One of the tracks, Footprint, was voted №1 in the “bass guitar” nomination as part of the Russian internet music contest.

Now Anton leads his own projects and collaborates with many pop and jazz stars.

Mikhail Galutva is a drummer with a piano past, born in Moscow into the family of composer Vitaly Galutva and opera singer Lyudmila Korzhavina. He graduated from the Gnesins’ school in piano and the pop and jazz department of the Gnesins Academy in the class of percussion instruments.

Mikhail plays and records music in various styles: fusion, metal, rock, pop, funk, and jazz. He collaborated and performed with many groups and artists, including Russian stars Banderos, Petr Nalich.

Leonid Nesterov found his musical calling in Latvia and moved to Limassol in 2010 to continue his career; he plays with many talented musicians around Cyprus, sharing his passion for Jazz and also performing with various musicians from the Baltic States, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, United States, Israel and other countries

The trio will be performing at Londa’s Caprice restaurant where the audience has views of the Mediterranean Sea and can enjoy 5-star service; the perfect environment for easy melodies and vibrant Jazz sounds.
