A fascinating weekend of musical sounds produced by the human mouth! The 1st Cyprus Beatbox Championship is happening! For the first time, the beatbox community of Cyprus will gather for a thrilling weekend of action. Cyprus Beatbox promises an unforgettable journey to the fascinating world of the art of creating music just by using the human mouth.
The audience will have the opportunity to experience two days of human beatbox. The warm-up event will take place at Prozak on Saturday 19th October with an open mic and beatbox jam. On Sunday 20th October in the morning there will be a street performance, with the participation of the audience, during the opening event of the Weeks of the German language organised by the German-speaking embassies and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus. The highlight of the weekend will be the Cyprus Beatbox Championship, which will take place for the first time later on the same day, at Windcraft.
The championship starts with the qualifying rounds, followed by the Top 16 beatbox battles and the judges’ presentations. The final rounds will announce the Cyprus Champion, who will represent the country at the World Beatbox Championship in Berlin in 2020. The competition categories are solo men and solo women.
Registration for participation is valid by commenting with your nickname at the facebook event until 15th October 2019.

The event is coordinated by Cyprus Beatbox – the interactive platform for human beatbox in Cyprus – in collaboration with Windcraft Loud, with the support of the German Embassy in Cyprus and Beatbox Greece.
