Following its successful path in Larnaca, the traditional tavern Stou Rousha had opened second shop in Nicosia a few years ago and since then it had become one of the most popular spots in the capital for Cypriot meze and grills.
Here you can find authentic Cypriot dishes such as juicy souvlakia and sheftalia, tender grilled halloumi, ‘koupepia’ (vine leaves, stuffed with a minced meat with rice, shaped into little rolls and cooked until wonderfully tender stuffed) and all-times-favourite Cyprus comfort food – ‘makaronia tou fournou’ – the layer of pasta with delicious minced meat covered by creamy béchamel baked in the oven.
Their specialities include ‘kaloirka’, pasta with halloumi, butter and minced meat, and chicken liver with pomegranate juice.
And do not forget to taste their traditional desserts such as fyllo pastry cigars stuffed by anari & honey, tender anari cream, or delicious baklava rolls.
