Beba
A friendly tip: If you want to eat at Beba, call to book now so they can get you at least on the waiting list! This is a hot tavern, a talk of the town, all the rage and everything you can think of. The atmosphere of this shop is warm and sweet and the food really good. Try out the delicious kontosouvli, the beef in the charcoal, the liver with paprika and the fava with Cypriot Louvana. Don’t miss out on the pistachio caramel.

La Cantine
Another spot to be added to the list of new restaurants in the capital. It is a cozy place located on the busy Onasagorou Street. There you will find All Day options starting early in the morning with brunch and coffee and ending in the evening for dinner, from which you can choose from the list of delicious suggestions and dishes based in international and Mediterranean cuisine. In its lovely bar you can enjoy cool cocktails and other spirits enjoying rustic decor and chill music.

Verde Caferesto
Definitely not a restaurant that one would expect to find in a shopping mall. Yet, in the brand new Nicosia Mall, there is a modern and cozy restaurant where you can surely find a table (it offers 260 seats making it the largest café-restaurant in the store). Here, you will find one of the biggest burgers of the island (you have to try it and take a picture), delicious pasta, tasty pizzas, eggs and pancakes in all combinations for breakfast, stylish cocktails, coffees, nutritious smoothies and most importantly: a huge selection of sweets, crepes, waffles and ice creams. There is also a playground for children so that the whole family can enjoy this experience.

Mel’s Organic Coffee Shop
At last, a refuge for us health freaks. Organic coffee and tea, fresh juices, homemade biscuits and pastries, fresh protein balls and many snacks suitable for vegans, vegetarians and paleos (gluten free, dairy free, sugar free) are served daily in this cozy and cute little shop. The best of all, however, is Saturday’s breakfast: cereals in four different flavors with three different milk substitutes.

Pantopoleio Kali Orexi
After 10 years, Nicosia’s favourite spot changed its location, appearance and menu. In the new menu you cannot help but see the love of the chef and the owners for Greek cuisine. This is evident in every dish, from the rich fresh salads and the all time classic pseudo-meatballs, the new trachanokeftedes, to the chicken and the stuffed burgers.

I Oraia Ellas
If you want to visit Greece but your wallet is not cooperating, then you can visit I Oraia Ellas in Larnaca to get a taste of Greece. Here you will find delicious dips, traditional salads, cooked meats, juicy charcoal-cooked and wonderful seafood dishes, all inspired by the Cyclades, Sporades, Dodecanese, Samos, Mytilene and the Aegean Sea. Dedicated to the absolute authenticity of their dishes, they import their fish and many of their products from Greece. There is live music every Friday.

Bastet Artisan Experience
This new restaurant with elegant ebony decor, serves an impressive and unusual dish, black handmade tagliolini with squid ink, crab, fresh chili, garlic, cooked in lobster broth and garnished with 23-carat gold leaves. What to say? A blockbuster! Visually, the pasta fits neatly with the whole décor of the shop. It is mild, delicious and warm dish.

You can find a very original marriage of cultures in the luxurious Ma restaurant, which combines Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. This Latin-Asian coupling looks promising and I look forward to trying their terrifically interesting menu. I have already took notice of the Amazon fish, foie gras with ponzu fig, unagi mayonnaise, matcha bread and grilled pears and Iberico Presa with kimchee butter!

Marbre Fusion Grill
This new, modern Larnaca restaurant has already acquired a fanbase. The stylish environment with the New Yorker aura is combined with a menu with excellent raw materials, different cuts and meat baking. The menu is made by the renowned chef Alexandros Tsitsinis, while the meat comes from selected farms from all over the world, but also from Cyprus, offered in different ways of cooking, including the Argentine parrillia barbecue.
